BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7” was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ)!

In RIAJ’s announcement for newly certified releases of February, BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7” was certified platinum, a status given to albums with over 250,000 copies sold domestically.

While BTS has released several Japanese albums that were certified platinum or double platinum by the RIAJ, this is the first time that BTS has gone platinum in Japan with a Korean album.

Congratulations, BTS!
